Remarks & Notes
The locomotives that met at Promontory, Utah, in 1869 - Union Pacific's 119 and Central Pacific's Jupiter - were rolling works of art painted in various shades of red, crimson, blue, and green and featuring polished brass and original artwork. These locomotives are full-sized replicas that were finished in 1979.
