The Bernina Line of the Rhaetian Railway has seen a sharp increase in passenger numbers over recent years. Of course, it is one of the most beautiful railway lines in existence. Over the Christmas and New Year holidays, the rush, especially from Italy (Tirano), is almost impossible to cope with. All RhB rolling stock that can be used on the Bernina line with its tight curve radii is then in service. In the morning in Tirano and in the afternoon in St. Moritz, long queues of passengers form, waiting for a ride. "Allegra" railcar ABe 8/12 # 3507 pulls the 7-car train 4629 from St.Moritz to Tirano over the lower Ova da Bernina bridge between Bernina Lagalb and Ospizio Bernina.
