The Bernina Line of the Rhaetian Railway has seen a sharp increase in passenger numbers over recent years. Of course, it is one of the most beautiful railway lines in existence. Over the Christmas and New Year holidays, the rush, especially from Italy (Tirano), is almost impossible to cope with. All RhB rolling stock that can be used on the Bernina line with its tight curve radii is then in service. In the morning in Tirano and in the afternoon in St. Moritz, long queues of passengers form, waiting for a ride. "Allegra" ABe 8/12 # 3514 in the colorful ancestor paint scheme is used for a relief train from St.Moritz to Alp Grüm and back, crossing the Ova da Roseg bridge between Surovas and Pontresina as train 2650 from Alp Grüm to St.Moritz.
