| West Side Lumber 9 returned to service in August after a four-year absence. The narrow-gauge, 3-truck Shay required extensive firebox work after returning from Colorado. MCRR volunteers worked with crews from the Durango & Silverton to get the locomotive ready for the 75th annual Old Threshers Reunion held on Labor Day weekend. No. 9 is seen here departing the station at North Village for another trip around the 3-foot gauge loop. |
