| Since the timetable change on December 14, 2025, two pairs of trains have been running daily between Basel and Hamburg and vice versa with SBB's “Giruno” high-speed trains. The Eurocity 5 from Hamburg Central Station (departing at 8:29 a.m.) via Hannover-Göttingen-Kassel Wilhemshöhe-Frankfurt-Mannheim-Karlsruhe-Offenburg-Freiburg to Basel SBB arrives punctually at Basel Badischer Bahnhof, with the RABe 501 # 037 “Freie und Hansestadt Hamburg” and # 035 “Baden-Württemberg” in multiple control, a 404-meter-long train with 844 seats in first and second class.
