The Rhaetian Railway's self-propelled steam snow blower for the Bernina line, X rot d # 9213, built by SLM in 1910 for the then independent Bernina Railway as BB # 1051, has been overhauled over several years and is now fully operational again. The machine, with six powered axles in two bogies, undertook several days of training runs for staff, not only on the former Bernina Railway, but also on sections of the RhB's main network, between St. Moritz and S-chanf and from Bever to Spinas. The steam rotary snow blower X rot d # 9213 is running between Bever and La Punt Chamues-ch as train 9934 from Bever to S-chanf. In the winter 2026 there will be three demonstration events on the Bernina line, which can be booked on the RhB website.
