| Seasonal Service.
Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) MP15AC no. 166 brings up the rear on the rail road's laser train as it curves onto the Hempstead Branch at Floral Park, en-route to Garden City. Two retired Budd M3 cars - numbered E901 and E902 - were converted for this seasonal service, cleaning the rails of slimy, slippery residue from crushed leaves. Locomotive 158 is on the opposite end of the train, allowing for quick turnarounds when changing direction. |
