| The Wabtec Facility near Albia has been stocking up on Dash 9s that are being retired. I am guessing these will go toward more of the DC/AC rebuilds they have been cranking out to the Class 1 railroads. Tons of BNSF Dash 9s showed up around the end of June. At the beginning of June: these UP motors ended up in the deadline tracks. All the movement in and out is done by the small Progressive Rail outfit called Iowa Southern. They have this switcher they mainly used to move traffic. |
