On the first day of a journey from Los Angeles to Chicago, Santa Fe 4-8-4 3751 and a trio of Dash 8-40CW diesels pull an excursion train across the Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe Railway as a treat for the employees lucky enough to score a ticket for this train and ride it for a few hours between division points. After a stop in Barstow to exchange passengers, the train is on the move again. It will spend the night in Needles and resume its eastward journey in the morning.
