The long-established viewing platform on the Albula line near Filisur, directly above the short Zalaint tunnel with a magnificent view of the Rhaetian Railway's landmark, the 65-meter-high Landwasser Viaduct, which swings in an elegant arc directly into the vertical rock face, is showing its age. With the opening of the “Landwasserwelt,” it has been given a name: it is now called “Hennings,” after the engineer Friedrich Hennings, builder of the Albula Railway. It is to be rebuilt in the coming weeks. During the summer months, it is easily accessible every half hour from Filisur via the “Viaduct Shuttle” and the “Schmitten GR Landwasser Viaduct” stop, which is about a 4-minute walk away. Three rail fans watch the IR 2125 (changed number from 1125 because of slightly different timetable) on the IR38 line from Chur to St. Moritz with the Ge 4/4 III # 642 locomotive, a B II reinforcement car in the new color scheme, and the ALVRA composition.
