The former SBB shunting locomotive E 3/3 # 8492, built in 1909 by SLM, had been work locomotive # 6 at the Perlen paper mill since 1961. Since 1978, it has served as a reserve locomotive and is known as the “Perlen Tiger” (Tiger is the colloquial name for this type of locomotive). In the middle is Ed 3/3 # 3 LANGNAU of the Swiss museum of Transport Lucerne, on loan to the Bern steam railway (DBB). On the right A 3/5 # 705 of SBB Historic, based in Brugg with the steam group Zürich (VDZ), on visit in Huttwil.
