The former German 2-10-0 freight train steam locomotive 52 # 8055 from Dampflokomotiv- und Maschinenfabrik (DLM) with light oil firing was severely damaged in January 2023 during a fire at the locomotive depot in Schaffhausen. On that day, it was making its first trips after being put back into service on the Etzwilen-Singen museum railway. The locomotive is shunting in Etzwilen with the cars of the museum railway. The so-called tank tender for 33,000 liters of water, to which the locomotive had been coupled for some time, was supplemented with an 8 m³ (2100 gal) oil tank during the conversion to light oil firing.
