What Once Was
On the afternoon of December 29, 2020, Pan Am BO-1 (Boston area local) returns from Salem after working on the Danvers Branch earlier in the day. Though BO-1 still exists today in the form of CSX L058, it now only runs under the cover of night, and only operates in the Coke Works in Everett. As for the locomotive, GP40-2LW #507 was repainted into the Guilford Rail System livery as a heritage unit, and still exists on CSX. Most former Pan Am units inherited by CSX have been retired, but the wide cab geeps seem to be the outlier.
