Shortly before the train's return journey from Rorschach back to Olten, which had been organized by “Team 10439” with Arbon as its destination, the Ae 3/6 II # 10439 of SBB Historic, built in 1925 by SLM and MFO, was decorated with a sign showing “10439”, “Ae 3/6 II” and "100 Jahre" next to a large Swiss coat of arms. Between 1924 and 1926, SBB received a total of 60 locomotives of this type (# 10401 to # 10460) with an output of 1550 kW and a maximum speed of 100 km/h. These highly reliable locomotives were taken out of service between 1965 and 1977. # 10439 has been designated a historic locomotive since 1976, but is no longer part of the core fleet. Instead, it is maintained and operated by “Team 10439” in Olten.
