Remarks & Notes

Sitting in the diesel service area of Union Pacific’s Bailey Yard is UP U30C 2848. This diesel was built by General Electric in April 1973, and twelve years later was retired by the UP, on October 8, 1985. The railroad eventually sold it to EMD in May 1986. (North Platte, Nebraska – August 19, 1980)
