| Cogwheel railcar BDeh 1/2 # 1 "Lise" (built 1958) of the Rheineck-Walzenhausen Bahn (RhW), nowadays part of the Appenzeller Bahnen, is running on the 600 meter long adhesion section from Rheineck station till the beginning of the cogwheel section with a grade ot 25 % up to Walzenhausen. The gauge is the very seldom 120 centimeter (47,2 inch). The railway in its current form will be shut down at the end of 2026 and will resume operation about one year later as a fully automated railway with new rolling stock. |
