Amtrak ALC-42 #301, the "Day One" heritage unit, was painted in an identical scheme to E8A #4316, which was hastily painted into this one-off livery for the first day of Amtrak service in 1971. Seen here, 301 navigates the (then-new) Floridian service into Cumberland, MD.
