Built in March 1972 by the Diesel Division of General Motors of Canada Ltd. as Canadian Pacific 5577, this SD40-2 was eventually sold to Pennsylvania’s New Hope & Ivyland Railroad. From there, it found its way to the Pennsylvania Northeastern, all the while retaining that roadnumber: 5577. (Lansdale, Pennsylvania – September 27, 2025)
