On the morning of September 22, 2025, the Long Island Rail Road picked up the BNSF Railway Ryder Cup OCS special from New York & Atlantic Railway's Fresh Pond Yard in Queens, New York for the final leg of its journey to Garden City, New York. There, the 14-car train served as the BNSF’s operations center and onboard lodging during the 2025 Ryder Cup PGA Championship at Bethpage State Park's Black Course. In this photo the BNSF train enters third rail territory for the first time as LIRR tows it east with 3 EMD MP15ACs on the Lower Montauk Branch at Richmond Hill in Queens, New York.
