On the morning of September 22, 2025, the Long Island Rail Road picked up the BNSF Railway Ryder Cup OCS special from New York & Atlantic Railway's Fresh Pond Yard in Queens, New York for the final leg of its journey to Garden City, New York. There, the 14-car train served as the BNSF’s operations center and onboard lodging during the 2025 Ryder Cup PGA Championship at Bethpage State Park's Black Course.
