“FL9 Meets P40 @ New Haven Yard”

On the night of September 20th, 2025, Metro-North Railroad’s “New Haven Switcher” crew shuttled EMD FL9 CTDX #2006 and General Electric M2 pair MNCW #8707/8706 from the Danbury Railway Museum in Danbury, CT, to New Haven Yard via the Danbury Branch and the New Haven Line. The equipment was moved in preparation for display at the 2025 Metro-North Open House. In this photo, FL9 2006 sits at its new temporary home on Track 54 in New Haven Yard as a CTrail P40 idles in the background.
