On this day, the second completely renovated HG 4/4 cogwheel steam locomotive of the Furka Mountain Railway was officially inaugurated, later blessed in Gletsch, and formally handed over by the Furka Mountain Railway Foundation to DFB AG for operation. The festively decorated HG 4/4 # 708 arrived at Furka DFB on 2160 meter a.s.l. with the passenger extra from Realp to Gletsch. Now she was uncoupled and runs to the turntable. The Locomotives of this type, which were not built for the Furka railway, have to run down the mountain (from Muttbach-Belvédère to Gletsch) with chimney to the mountain, according to the boiler construction.
