Rounding the western end of the S-curve at Fullerton Junction, where BNSF Railway's San Bernardino Sub expands to three mainlines when the Southern California Regional Rail Authority's Orange Sub merges with the BNSF here, is BNSF baretable train B-KCKLAC3-08A. This train departed Kansas City KS three days earlier and it is now a mere 20 miles (32 km) from its destination, Los Angeles. Norfolk Southern Railway "Erie Heritage" SD70ACe 1068 leads this train, teamed with BNSF ES44C4 6506. This train was held about ten miles east of here to allow BNSF's dispatchers to move the morning rush of Metrolink commuter trains so they could ferry commuters with no delay.
