Remarks & Notes
The Sprinter Club Meet On The Road. Both owners of the Siemens ACS-64 are present in Newark, Delaware, on the night of November 20, 2019 for a meet while heading for Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Built between 2012-2018, Amtrak purchased 70 of these motors, while SEPTA purchased 15. The Sprinter design was based on the EuroSprinter and the Vectron platforms, sold in Europe and Asia, but differs because the 8,400hp locomotive is capable of operating on all three variables of power supply on the Northeast Corridor (25 kV 60 Hz, 12.5 kV 60 Hz, and 12 kV 25 Hz).
