The stretch of railroad following the twisting Potomac river, deep in the Appalachian hills east of Cumberland, MD, was a haven for those appreciating the classic Baltimore & Ohio color position light signals. It's just after noon on a lovely autumn day as CSX 8881 grinds up the river valley with a westbound manifest.
