| On this day, the 150th anniversary of the Rorschach-Heiden Mountain Railway (RHB) was celebrated. The standard-gauge railway with Riggenbach rack and pinion runs from Rorschach on the shores of Lake Constance up to the climatic health resort of Heiden in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden. Articulated lowfloor cogwheel train BDeh 3/6 # 25 of the RHB is running down with the open "summer cars" B # 4 and B # 7 (built 1875!) as train 5030 of the line S25 between Heiden and Schwendi. In the background Lake Constance (Bodensee) near Bregenz/Austria with Pfänder mountain. |
