| On this day, the 150th anniversary of the Rorschach-Heiden Mountain Railway (RHB) was celebrated. The standard-gauge railway with Riggenbach rack and pinion runs from Rorschach on the shores of Lake Constance up to the climatic health resort of Heiden in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden. Articulated lowfloor cogwheel train BDeh 3/6 # 25 of the RHB is shoving the open "summer cars" B # 4 and B # 7 (built 1875!) up the mountain as train 5025 of the line S25 between Schwendi and Heiden. In the background houses and church of Wolfhalden and the Lake Constance (Bodensee) near Bregenz/Austria. |
