On the evening of June 6th, 2025, Metro-North Railroad Electric Traction employees aboard Ford Catenary Maintenance Truck MNCW TC1921M work to repair damaged catenary at catenary pole 669 on the New Haven Line in Southport, Connecticut. As they work, a Grand Central bound train passes on the adjacent track. The damage, which occurred the previous evening between Southport and Fairfield stations after a series of events, disrupted service New Haven Line service in the area. Thanks to the Electric Traction team’s efforts, service was restored on most tracks by the following morning.
