On the evening of May 30th, 2025, Metro-North's 40th Anniversary "New Haven Railroad" heritage unit MNCW 222, leads train 1848 past the former Geoppler Cider & Vinegar Mill in Redding, Connecticut on the Danbury Branch. Constructed in the early 1890's, the four-story mill was a multipurpose building that was utilized as a train station (Sanford Station) and also a post office in the early 1900s. Geoppler ceased all operations around 1940 and the mill was sold to private owners who rebuilt the structure into a residence.
