With a train for Evergreen Packaging at Canton, BLU T31 notches out of the dip at the 7 milepost behind a trio of SD45 carbody SD40-2's. Just a few months later Evergreen would announce the closing of the paper mill at Canton, bringing Blue Ridge Southern to its knees, and as a result of less tonnage these engines were moved to another Watco line in Alabama.
