| Scandalous Streetcar.
San Francisco Municipal Railway (MUNI) PCC car 1080 is seen on Market St operating F Market & Wharves service. The car is painted in a National City Lines (Los Angeles) scheme worn by similar cars prior to conversion to buses in the 1940s and 1950s, in what would become known as the Great American Streetcar Scandal. The car was originally built for the Twin City Rapid Transit Co. and also served in Newark, NJ before being moved to San Francisco. |
