After catching some mainline FEC action north of Ft. Pierce yard, I had begun to make my way down towards Stuart for the evening rush. However, when passing by Ft. Pierce yard, I noticed the inbound cut from train 103 was missing the SCFE block that had come south on the train. Seconds later, I got a text from another local railfan that the SCFE Ft. Pierce turn had just passed him at the south end of the yard departing back for Clewiston.
At first I was shocked because normally sugar doesn't wait for 103 if it's late (it was 4 hours behind on this particular day), but I guess they really needed the 50 cars that came south on this 103. Naturally, a chase ensued, and here's the train passing under the K11.1 defect detector and over a small canal.
