Under a stormy sky, the blue Re 4/4 I # 10009 (privately owned, operated by TR TransRail), built in 1947 as # 409 for the SBB, pulls the Pullman Club's special train 31733 from Fribourg via Bern to Ostermundigen near Düdingen. At the end of the train is steam locomotive 141 R # 1244, which will pull the train again from Ostermundigen (switchback) via Lyss-Biel connecting line-Solothurn-Oensingen-Olten to Brugg AG. Behind the blue locomotive are the two ARmz dining cars of the “Prestige Continental Express,”, whose air conditioning and kitchens are supplied with 1000 V power by the Re 4/4 I. Also not visible in the train were the WGm ‘Schützengarten’ bar car and a first-class Am car of the “Suisse Train Bleu.” All cars are owned by the IRSI AG in Frauenfeld.
