| North Shore Mining's 0500 loaded train heads south from the mines near Babbitt to the taconite plant and dock on Lake Superior at Silver Bay, MN, seen at the well-known "pond" near the township of Toimi. The haze from Canadian wildfires was kind of annoying, and a little breeze meant I didn't get the same quality of reflection in the water as I did on my last visit. At least the mosquitoes weren't too bad this time. |
