A four pack of GE units work the long westward grade at the Cosnino Road crossing east of Flagstaff. In the days before the classic signal systems were destroyed, signal bridges such as this were prevalent along Santa Fe lines. With the 1960 completion of the new line bypassing the steep grades via Ash Fork, CTC was installed between Winslow and Seligman as evidenced in this scene.
