Orange Blossom, Black Diamonds. On Saturday, May 10, 2025, CSX C733-08 was led by CSXT 1836 (née-CSX 3055, ES44AH, 6/2012), CSX's Richmond, Fredericksburg & Potomac (RF&P) Railroad heritage unit. The "Orange Blossom Special" was originally a passenger train, but the name was later revived by the Seaboard, RF&P, and Chessie as the name for a freight joint freight service. The locomotive is one of 21 (for now) that CSX has repainted to honor predecessor railroads. A change in CSX's routing has brought unit coal trains like this to New York as a regular sight for the first time in decades as part of the detours around Baltimore to accommodate tunnel work, including CSX C733/E733 (Newell, PA-Baltimore, MD).
