| An empty coal rake heads through Survali, I assume for Vasco-da-Gama. The unit in the rear is a WDG4D. The unit in the front is the first EMD GT46MAC, one of ten such units built by GM as a precursor to the Indian built WDG4 and WDP4 locomotives that cover so much of the diesel territory in India today. I have to admit that I didn't fully figure out what a unique and special engine I had caught here until I got home and did a bit more research. |
