As the sunlight fades away on the evening of May 11th, 2025, Amtrak's Crayola-wrapped ACS-64 #621 makes its debut run on Zone 1 (east of Sunnyside Yard) leading Regional Train 132 east under the abandoned NYW&B Westchester Avenue Station on the Hell Gate Line in the Bronx borough of New York City. 621 is one of two locomotives wrapped in special Crayola schemes as part of a partnership to promote family travel and creative exploration. This unit features the color Violet Blue, and eight fan-favorite crayons that were brought back from retirement. *Westchester Ave is one of my favorite railroad locations, so I make a point of photographing every variation of equipment that passes through.
