Remarks & Notes
Dandelion Meet. In an incident of very fortuitous timing, Amtrak Train 137 was stopped at the New Rochelle, New York station with AMTK 620 (ACS-64) in a special Crayola-sponsored wrap when MTA Metro-North Railroad Train 1848 passed by with MNCW 222 (New Haven Tribune) leading to Danbury on Friday, May 9, 2025. The Metro-North New Haven Tribute engine is wrapped in Olive Green and Dandelion Yellow, matching the Amtrak engine in perhaps one of the more difficult to find colors in North American mainline railroading. On the side of AMTK 620, the color is identified as "Dan D. Dandelion" and "Back For A Limited Time" as an "unretired" product. The Crayola wrap is temporary and will operate in service on various Northeast Corridor trains, so go trackside and try to catch it soon!
