On Union Pacific westbound intermodal train ILTLB-16 were a high number of containers with their doors open (I photographed 5, but there were at least 12), and many looked as if some of their contents may be missing. Later in the day, we saw more open containers on an eastbound freight as well. And it isn't just UP getting hit as I've seen a few on the BNSF as well, plus there was an extensive article in the Los Angeles Times a few weeks ago about their trains getting burgled a lot lately.
