“Amish, Meet Acela II” An Amish family visiting the Perryville Railroad Museum is introduced to Amtrak’s NextGen Acela, in the form of Trainset 8, which was testing on the Northeast Corridor on March 1, 2025. This was the southbound leg of the third (and final) planned roundtrip for the day between Philadelphia, PA and Havre de Grace, MD. Data collection was to be conducted at 135 mph.
