The Return Of The Hudson River Rail Excursions. For a few weeks, the United Railroad Historical Society of New Jersey is operating round trip excursions from New York Penn Station to Albany-Rensselaer, New York a few days a week. The former New York Central Railroad NYC 43 (URHX 800411, tavern/lounge)/Swift Stream (URHX 800460, slper/lounge)/Hickory Creek (URHX 800733, slper/lounge/obs) are seen passing through the MTA Metro-North Railroad Riverdale Station in the Bronx, New York on the night of Saturday, February 15, 2025 during a light snowfall while holding the markers on Amtrak 244. These ticketed excursions give the public a chance to experience the golden era of rail travel while the cars operate on their home rails.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
