On the night of December 29th, 2024, Metro-North Railroad's "Holiday Lights Train" (running on 6348) makes a stop at the station in Riverside, Connecticut as it makes its way down the New Haven Line. From December 26th to December 30th, the lights on the train were lit blue and white to celebrate Hanukkah. The Holiday Lights Train is a specially decorated, 8-car Kawasaki M8 consist operating on all electrified portions of the Harlem, New Haven, and Hudson Lines throughout the remainder of the holiday season.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
