Amtrak 145(30), a NYP-RNK Northeast Regional, sprints [pun intended] south, past the Perryville Station that now serves at the northern terminus of MARC’s Penn Line commuter service. The station, opened in 1906 by PRR predecessor Philadelphia, Baltimore & Washington Railroad (PB&W), is a virtual duplicate of the original Perryville depot, built by the Philadelphia, Wilmington & Baltimore Railroad (PW&B), on the original (1866) alignment through town.
Under the auspices of the Perryville Chapter/NRHS, the station also houses the Perryville Railroad Museum.
