Remarks & Notes
Upon arrival at the Union Pacific's Dolores Yard from Kansas City MO, UP intermodal train IKCLB 26 set to work breaking its train into smaller parts for unloading at the railroad's Intermodal Container Transfer Facility, located adjacent to this yard. This train had a colorful pair of SD70ACe diesels on it: UP 1983 (ex-UP 8383), the railroad's Western Pacific Heritage unit, and UP 1943 (ex-UP 9026), painted as "The Spirit of Union Pacific" to honor a World War II bomber that was so named, and also to honor UP employees who served in the military. As UP 1983 and 1943 were breaking down their train, UP ES44AC 7764, part of a five-unit consist on train ZLBHO-30, was assembling its train before heading to Houston TX.
