| On the day exactly 125 years after the inauguration of the Oensingen-Balsthal Railway (OeBB), both the scheduled freight train and an additional extra freight train were run with steam on this day. SBB Historic's “Mallet” Ed 2x2/2 # 196, built in 1893 by Maffei in Munich for the Swiss Central Railway (SCB) and now stationed in Balsthal, was used. Historic freight wagons from the Koblenz Depot and Rail Vehicles Association (DSF) were brought in especially for the train, here behind the locomotive. Train 59930 from Balsthal is entering Klus for shunting. |
