Remarks & Notes
Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway Intermodal Stacks train S-LBTCHI1-20A, with one of those colorful consists that made early BNSF trains so interesting, climbs the western side of Cajon Pass as it heads from Pier T in the port of Long Beach CA to Chicago IL. BNSF Dash 9-44CW 725, wearing the "Superfleet" colors from predecessor Santa Fe, leads the train, teamed with a pair of former Burlington Northern SD40-2s (BNSF 7128 and 7851, retaining their old BN numbers), leased FURX SD40 3052 (ex-CP 5632) and another "Superfleet" Dash 9-44CW, BNSF 741. (Pine Lodge, Cajon Pass, California – October 20, 2007)
