| The SBB uses 112 locomotives of the Re 450 series with only one driver's cab, permanently coupled with 3 double-decker coaches including a driving trailer. They operate on the Zurich S-Bahn network, sometimes with up to 3 trains coupled in multiple control. The locomotives were built by SLM and ABB between 1989 and 1997 and have an output of 3200 kW at a top speed of 130 km/h. The Re 450 # 066 with the coat of arms of the municipality of Neerach is on its way between Lottstetten and Rafz with train 18939 of the S9 from Schaffhausen via Bülach-Zurich to Uster. The locomotive body of this locomotive, together with 44 others, was manufactured at the Schindler works in Pratteln. |
