Remarks & Notes
Union Pacific and Utah Transit. Utah Transit Authority (UTA) SD-100 LRV no. 1006 is the lead unit on a TRAX Blue Line train seen rounding the corner at S Temple / N 400 W, with the former Salt Lake City Union Pacific Depot standing tall in the background. The station was built in 1908-09 and served passenger trains until 1986, when Amtrak moved to the Denver & Rio Grande Western Depot after that railroad joined Amtrak. Nowadays the majority of the building is used for other purposes, but UP still maintains some offices and training rooms within.
