On a hazy humid June evening CSX Q580-07 (Atlanta,GA-Nashville,TN) is creeping north in the siding at Dalton, GA. In the Pre-PSR days Q580 was a daily run road local that took all the car that didn't get tagged onto Q582 north for Radnor Yard. This freight also made set-off at Carterville, Chattanooga, Tullahoma, Murfreesboro, and finally terminate out of Nashville. Depending on how many cars that were inbound for Chattanooga and Nashville this freight would normally be just under 30 or so cars. Seen here only with 12 cars tied behind a single motor the dispatcher had a full advantage in bringing this freight into the siding to meet a couple of southbound at the North-End of Dalton.
